'Phosphorescent Eclosion' - The Exhibition.
An Introduction;
At first there is nothing but then her brain fires off its first wave and she is aware.
The darkness presses in like walls, all consuming.
Then comes a small flicker of gold, then another, and then flames -she moves towards it.
Around her the world forms and she moves through nature, discovering.
She has emerged from the depths of her mind, towards the light and is welcoming the new dawn. This is her Phosphorescent Eclosion.
Madi is a Meanjin photographer, creator and performer.
Her exhibition Phosphorescent Eclosion works through themes close to her heart-fear, darkness,
strength, self-love and acceptance and of course kink and sexuality.
'Dripping Lilith'
Lilith the queen of sensuality will visit in the darkest hours of the night.
You’ll feel safe in the warmth of her glow and her beauty will drip over every inch of your body, but this is all part of herseductive plan.
For Lilith is here to shatter the patriarchy -and evil doers beware.
When dawn breaks and you are finally released from your fever dreams, you will feel relief, until you see the wax remnants and know she will always be watching.

'Black Widow'
Out of all consuming blackness you catch a glimpse of a golden shimmer,
and fear suddenly courses through your body.
Then the full beauty of this creature hits you and you move toward her.
You’re now trapped and she will keep you as a treat.
Don’t worry though, you will enjoy it.

'Flame Tamer'
So you’ve joined our cult, welcome,
now meet your Mother and the leader of all things wicked, beautiful and bizarre.
She knows the world has burnt you and will nurture and protect you as long as you give yourself over to her.
Be hypnotised by her otherworldly beauty and gaze deep into her flames.
She is Mother, we are your new family and you are safe

'Stay Down'
Have you been good?
You’ll want to hope so or you’ll be masked, leashed up and walked around like the naughty puppy you are.
Or maybe that’s your ideaof a fun time, we know it certainly is for us.
Let this serpent goddess enchant you with her seductive whispers and show you the parts of yourself- only found in the dark.
Want to take the lead? How about a delicious power exchange?
We will all give power, take power and most importantly-share power.

'Milk & Honey'
She looks soft to touch and sweet to taste doesn’t she?
Don’t be fooled, she doesn’t need your approval or love -she has plenty of that for herself.
Try to love her though if you dare and if she deems you worthy, she may exchange some of her power with you.
We’re all outcasts and weirdos here and who cares if the world doesn’t accept you-
self acceptance will make you the ruler of your kingdom.

Acknowledgements
This project has been something that I've been thinking about over the last few years, a photography series that I created for myself with the assistance from some wonderful creatives that have shaped my career and have guided me through some major milestones.
Firstly, a massive thank you to Madeline Glasseater (Mother) for giving me the opportunity to showcase my series at Cult the Festival and being one of the insporations for the series.
Diamant, thank you for your continous support in everything I do. This series was inspired by our photo session last year in preperation for an upcoming event, I was blown away with what we created but felt that it was missing something. Recreating that chaotic session with you in my loungeroom will stay with me forever.
Arachnie, Raven and Pennie thank you for showcasing your true forms in these images. Creating and exacuting this series with you has been the biggest pleasure.
My partner Jordan, thank you for your continous support through this project and stepping in front of the camera to be a part of my art. You inspire me everyday.
